Gifts of Stocks, Bonds, or Mutual Funds
Support CFS's work by making a gift of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds. A gift of appreciated securities provides significant benefits, including an immediate charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock and avoidance of capital gains taxes that would normally be due upon sale. Please contact us at development@centerforfoodsafety.org for instructions on how to transfer stock. All proceeds from your gift will support our work!
Legacy Giving
Planned legacy giving supports CFS's work to build a lasting, truly regenerative food future. With just a few simple steps, you can plan a gift to CFS that will make an ongoing impact on our food system, farms, and environment for generations to come. Your bequest will go directly towards supporting our programs to save our pollinators from extinction, protect organic integrity, label GE foods, and promote sustainable alternatives to current industrial agriculture practices.
Estate Planning
By building CFS into your will or trust, you will support our mission to ensure that future generations can reap the benefits of a healthy, safe food supply and environment. There are a number of ways to include Center for Food Safety in your estate plan, and we would be happy to work with you to meet your needs. Here is some sample language you can present to your attorney:
I bequeath [the sum of $__] [all the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate] [an amount equal to __% of the net value of my estate to Center for Food Safety (Tax Identification # 52-2165893), a nonprofit organization located in Washington, DC. [Optional:] It is my intent that this bequest be used for [specific program area].
