The monarch butterfly population in North America has been shrinking at an alarming rate. Why? A major culprit is the use of herbicides like Monsanto’s Roundup on genetically engineered crops, which is destroying a significant portion of their breeding habitat.
Winning the fight to secure Endangered Species Act protections for monarch butterflies starts with grassroots pressure from concerned citizens like you. But we can’t stop there.
That’s why Center for Food Safety and Center for Biological Diversity—joined by Xerces Society and renowned monarch scientist Prof. Lincoln Brower—have just filed a groundbreaking legal action calling on the U.S. government to recognize the grave threats to monarchs and protect the iconic butterflies before it’s too late.
