Tell EPA: Regulate Pesticide-Coated Seeds!

Please write EPA today and demand the agency protect our bees and birds from toxic neonic-coated seeds!

Tell EPA: Evaluate Every Pesticide by Its Whole Formula

When chemicals are mixed together to create new pesticides, those new formulas can become more toxic to the environment and endangered species than they are when used alone.

But when the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) evaluates the safety of a new pesticide before approving it, the agency often looks only at a single ingredient in the formula! The agency does not consider how different chemicals might be amplified when they interact.

Before approving a pesticide, tell EPA to evaluate its impact based on its whole formula!

Maryland: Tell your reps to ban this brain-damaging pesticide!

Chlorpyrifos is associated with reduced IQ, loss of working memory, attention disorders, delayed motor development, autism, Parkinson's disease, and lung cancer. Tell the Maryland State House and Senate to protect our children, bees, and the bay by banning chlorpyrifos!

Support Modular Housing for Farm Workers in Hawai'i!

Safe, affordable on-farm housing is critical to the success of our working farms. Existing laws were written to stop the proliferation of "gentleman's estates," which pose as farms. But these laws have also made things difficult for the real farmers to get the housing they need to live.

Modular, zero footprint, and non-permanent dwellings is likely the best solution to this problem. Our state and county governments have struggled with how to allow or encourage this kind of housing. We need to tell them how much we need this.

SB755 will also set up a much-needed Agricultural Housing Task Force to make policy recommendations and a guide to make this process more user-friendly for farmers and farm workers. Tell your senator to support SB755!

All Kids Deserve Pesticide-Free School Lunch!

No child deserves debilitating disorders because school lunches are loaded with pesticides. We must get the pesticides out of our kids' school lunches by making the National School Lunch Program organic!

Protect Washington's waters and wildlife from neurotoxins!

The purpose of these bills is to destroy native species of burrowing shrimp—which serve an important ecological function and are a food source for larger species—just because they might interfere with industrial shellfish growing. To industrial shellfish producers, any species other than their commercial product is considered a pest!

Tell Kellogg's to Label GMOs On the Package!

Before the end of the year, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is poised to require labeling of GMOs on food packaging for the first time ever. But Kellogg's is not going to use a clear text or a symbol label on its product packaging to indicate that the product contains GMOs.

Submit Testimony to Protect Oregon from Mega-Dairies!

To protect Oregon's people and environment, we need a "time out" on new and expanding mega-dairies in Oregon. Unlike small or mid-sized family dairies, these massive operations confine thousands of animals and generate enormous, unmanageable quantities of waste.

Urge your senator to protect Oregon's environment and people by supporting SB103!

Tell Candy Companies to Get Untested Nanotechnology Out of Children's Candy!

Nanotechnology is a powerful new tool for taking apart and reconstructing nature as the molecular level—and it has some scary repercussions when used in food products. Scientists agree that nanomaterials create new, unique food safety risks that require toxicity testing, yet very little testing and regulation of these new products exists.

Tell companies to get untested nano ingredients out of candy!

Tell these burger chains to reduce antibiotic use in meat!

Chain Reaction IV: Burger Edition found that 22 of the top 25 burger chain restaurants received an "F" grade because they don't have established policies restricting antibiotic use in their beef supply chains.

Prevent a Pesticide Executive from Distrubuting USDA's Budget!

The Trump Administration has quietly nominated Scott Hutchins—who has spent over 30 years working for Dow Chemical— as USDA's chief scientist. USDA's chief scientist sets the agenda for the agency's 2.9 billion research budget.

Tell your Senator to oppose Scott Hutchins' nomination now!

Take the Opt Out of Industrial Meat Pledge!

In order to address the environmental, social, human health, and economic consequences of intensive animal production, we must end our overconsumption of conventionally raised meat and poultry, and shift our diet to include more balanced proteins. We can do this by cutting our meat consumption in half, choosing sustainably raised meats, and eating more plant-based proteins.

Tell Your Senators to Label Frankenfish

Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) recently introduced new legislation, the Genetically Engineered Salmon Labeling Act (S.1528), which would require genetically engineered salmon to be labeled as "genetically engineered" or "GE."
