Tell Congress to support amendments to the House Farm Bill that will protect farmers from GMO contamination, protect pollinators from pesticides, and restore funding to vital organic programs.

Some of the biggest grocery stores in the US have already said they will not sell GE salmon in their stores, including Whole Foods, Trader Joes, H-E-B, and Aldi, as have over 400 chefs, restaurants, and seafood companies. But there are a lot more companies yet to sign.

In the U.S., we pride ourselves on having choices and making informed decisions.  Under current FDA policy, we don't have that choice when it comes to genetically engineered (GE) foods.  But next week Senator Barbara Boxer and Congressman Peter DeFazio will introduce new federal legislation that would require the labeling of all GE foods; the first labeling bill to be introduced in the Senate in over a decade. Documents uncovered today raise serious questions about whether the public was misled about the FDA review of GE Salmon. CFS, Earthjustice, Friends of the Earth, and Food & Water Watch received the previously undisclosed documents through a Freedom of Information Act request. Tell Congress to hold the FDA accountable and stop GE Salmon!

Bees and other beneficial pollinators are disappearing at alarming rates. While we may not know the exact cause of the disappearance, we do know that some pesticides are contributing to their decline. We also know there are simple things we can each do to help combat pollinator loss.
